Delyth Curtis

Since February 2017, Delyth Curtis has been employed as Deputy Chief Executive Health & Wellbeing at Cheshire West and Chester Council.

As well as holding the designation of statutory Director of Adult Social Services, she has overall responsibility for Children’s Social Care, Education, Public Health, Commissioning and Early Intervention.

Prior to this Delyth held a number of senior roles with Blackpool Local Authority, finishing her time there as Deputy Chief Executive and Director of People.  She led on a significant programme of change in Blackpool around adult service transformation and provider services. Delyth started her career in the NHS and has worked in Acute Hospital Trusts as well as a number of Primary Care Trust's.

Delyth has extensive experience of problem-solving and managing significant programmes of change. She has developed new teams, integrated health and social care services, redesigned provider services and externally commissioned services.  Her key focus is always to drive up quality and improve outcomes for patients and residents.

With an excellent working knowledge of budget and contract management across both the health and social care sector, she has a track record of delivering savings and making efficiencies.

Delyth is committed to supporting a one team approach and creating a strong ethos and culture around delivery and improvement.

Born in Cardiff but raised in Cheshire and Lancashire, after attending Leeds University, Delyth professionally qualified in HR Management. Working for a number of years at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals she then moved to Fylde PCT and then onto Blackpool PCT before taking up a joint post with Blackpool Council and the PCT.  In 2017 Delyth joined Cheshire West and Chester Council.
