Ann Marr OBE - Partner Member (Trust)
Ann Marr OBE
Ann Marr OBE has served the NHS in Merseyside for over 35 years and been Chief Executive at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (STHK) for 20 years.
In that time, she has transformed STHK from a failing Trust into a multi-award winning organisation. Ann was the driving force for the redevelopment of both Whiston and St Helens hospitals, from Victorian workhouse buildings to modern, 21st century hospital facilities.
Today, STHK is rated as Outstanding by the CQC, one of only a very small number of acute trusts in the entire country to achieve this. In November 2019, the Trust was named “Trust of the Year” at the Health Service Journal Awards.
Ann was awarded a prestigious honorary fellowship of Liverpool John Moores University in 2016 and the OBE in the New Year’s Queen’s Honours List 2019/20 for services to the NHS.
In 2021, Ann also became Chief Executive of Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust.
