New Chair of the Integrated Research and Innovation Committee appointment

Professor Paul Kingston has been appointed as the new Chair of NHS Cheshire and Merseyside’s Integrated Research and Innovation Committee.
The committee aims to embed a culture of research and innovation across the Cheshire and Merseyside system in line with the development of an Integrated Research Innovation System (IRIS).
Building a robust healthcare system in Cheshire and Merseyside that prioritises research and innovation will benefit the entire population. This approach will attract research investments, strongly support innovative practices, and help the system evolve into an exemplary model, all supported by extensive data science.
Paul Kingston is a Professor of Ageing and Mental Health and serves as an Honorary Public Health Academic at the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).
He is also the Director of the Institute of Health and Wellbeing and the Centre for Ageing and Mental Health within the Faculty of Health, Medicine, and Society at the University of Chester.
Speaking of his appointment, Professor Paul Kingston, said:
