The 51% is coming to Cheshire after successful Merseyside pilot
Thursday, 23 January 2025
The 51% is a therapeutic writing programme designed for women, commissioned and co-developed for Improving Me, NHS Cheshire and Merseyside’s Women's Health and Maternity programme, by Dr Rachel New.
The programme focuses on women’s reproductive health through the life course including the journey from menstruation to menopause and everything in between.
After a successful evaluation of the role and value of this therapeutic writing course piloted in Merseyside in 2024 a second phase will be developed for Cheshire in September 2025.
Phase 2 development activity will launch on International Women’s Day in March and will be led by Improving Me’s writer in residence Dr Rachel New in collaboration with Improving Me’s engagement team.
